Long ago, before the dawn of humanity, there existed a realm known as the Veil. This realm was a bridge between the worlds of the living and the dead, a place where demons and spirits roamed freely. Among them were the first vampires, born of an unholy union between a powerful demon lord and a mortal soul. Faced with the devastation wrought by the war, a group of wise elders from both the vampire and demon factions came together to forge a pact. They created the Council of Shadows, a governing body that would maintain the balance between their kind and prevent further bloodshed.
